Opps I did it again...again!
(Okay...quick observation: You really need to be careful when falling asleep while watching HBO. My mom and I were watching Bill Mauhr when we got a case of the sleepies and decided to go to bed. Well after laying in bed and not able to fall asleep I got up and decided to get on the computer. Passing my parents room, I found that she had fallen asleep and the show that is now on is like "Hooker: Life on the streets" and they are following these real life hookers around. It is actually really funny. Plus the best part is, the volume is turned up that I am still able to hear it down the hall. I just hope when my brother's girlfriend leaves, the sounds that I just heard will not be happening again!) So today felt like the karma gods were taking the day off and forgetting about all the nice stuff I have been doing for others lately. I got to work, somewhat early and got out to put my coat on and once again, let the FREAKIN door shut and locked my keys, purse, and "work" shoes sitting on the inside of my car. I stood there and stood at my door hoping it would just magically pop open but no such luck. This couldn't be happening to me AGAIN. All I could do was walk into work and hope for the best. Flash forward...I thought that I would try and save my dad a trip to Omaha (because I have still not been smart enough to make a spare key to leave at work) and got campus security involved. Of course they send not the brightest crayon in the box. He has me sign a waiver and starts giving me the warnings. "We have been known to do some damage and people get mad, but we are not professionals. We have broke windows, torn out wires and damaged doors. It's mainly pure luck if we get it open." Yeah, this guy should never be in sales. I nervously watched as he basically violated my car in not such a good way. I stopped him after he shoved a larger metal strip into my door, not even watching what he was doing because he was too busy telling me that his next car is "gonna have that satellite thing in there "and "all he's gonna have to do is press a button." Spare me. I had to stop him before he raked the metal thing across my window again, and told him I was just going to have to call someone to bring me a key. So I returned to work, empty handed, an even bigger headache and a crabby co-worker to make the day better. My dad being too nice, brought me a key so I was able to at least change my shoes and oh yeah be able to drive home. The day did go pretty fast and before I knew it my boss was letting us go 15 minutes early. But I found the real cure to be a trip to Old Navy after work and the fact that I couldn't be happier that today is FRIDAY!
